Tell of His Wonders

Lighthouse, Light, Anchor for the Soul

As my sister and I entered Maine last week, we were happy and thrilled to be able to visit the Nubble Light in York! It wasn’t just the lighthouse, which is one of our favorites, but the waves!  We expected flat surf, since there was no wind. The ocean was flat as we approached the area. But we were blessed with beautiful waves and the reminder of our God’s awesome power. We are thankful for that blessing and the memory we made being there together. We forgot to “take a selfie” but we’ll not forget that special time, especially since it was a bit hard to visit Maine without our dad and mom here. The Lord used the beauty of the sea to bring us joy.

The lighthouse has even deeper meaning in the current turbulent times, because it reminds us of the Light of the World, which is Jesus. It brings to remembrance that He guides us as only He can. The rough sea reminds us that our hope in Him is a sure and steadfast anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19). He will NEVER change as He holds us fast. What a delight to know Him;  what a responsibility we have to share Him, “who will have all men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4).

Thank you so much for your prayers as I continue to navigate the challenges of managing my calendar, like all missionaries and anyone trying to schedule anything!  I have begun sharing the work of Togo in my supporting churches, and my sister has returned to Tennessee safely on an uneventful flight. I plan to visit four more churches before heading South again. After a few more weeks there, I plan to head back to Togo . . . all in the Lord’s timing.

Your prayer support is so needed; thank you for praying!  am also thankful for your faithfulness to keep on sending financial support.  May the Lord bless you richly—both churches and individuals!
