. . go out and take a picture of a bug!
During my final week in Togo before leaving for furlough, not only did I take a few minutes here and there to admire and smell the flowers; I also did some other exploring. In the early mornings of those six days of packing, I found all of these super neat-looking, colorful critters.
“Why the fascination with small things?” you might ask. It’s because the “Creator of the ends of the earth” (Isaiah 40:28) is transcendent, awesome, indescribable, and it is this God that made “everything that creeps on the face of the earth.” (Genesis 1:27) If He put this variety, detail, design, and color into these insects, think of how He cares about the details of the crown of His creation—mankind. God is infinite, which extends down to the very small as well as to the very big. What a concept!
I thought you’d enjoy this composite from those last few days in Togo. Don’t forget: the Creator that made all things, big and small, cares about every detail that concerns you, no matter how major or minor. “Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.
May He bless you so much with the awareness of His constant presence and care.
